Lark Gardens Lavender Ginger Lemonade
We have been serving this lemonade at our Afternoon Tea Parties. It is so enjoyable that we are passing it's recipe on to you!!
Makes 6 servings
Prepare this lavender syrup first.
Lavender Ginger Syrup
1 cup sugar
4 ounces crystallized ginger, chopped
2 TBL dried culinary lavender blossoms
Grated Zest of 2 lemons
2 cups water
In a food processor, combine the sugar, ginger, lavender, and lemon zest. Blend for 1 minute, or until the ginger is broken into small pieces. Transfer to a medium saucepan and add the water. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Strain into and bowl and discard the solids.
Lemonade
In a 2 quart pitcher, combine 4 cups of water - 1/2 cup
fresh lemon juice - and the syrup. Add ice to the top of the
pitcher and stir to chill. Serve in ice filled glasses.
